Blood Money

Join Rebel Tours and Boycott Bloody Insurance for a day of activism and walking, as we wander through London's financial centre, naming and shaming the banks and insurance companies that use your money to invest in weapons, genocide, fossil fuels and border violence. We'll dive into the history of these institutions, many of them centuries old and the pillars of the British Empire, uncover their ethical track record, and finally ask ourselves - is there anything we can do?

AGENDA:

3PM - 5PM POSTER MAKING WORKSHOP

Before the tour, we will meet in the May Day rooms in the City, for a poster making workshop. All materials will be included. Please select this option at checkout, if you would like to be added. Address is May Day Rooms, 88 Fleet St, London EC4Y 1DH

6PM - 8PM WALKING TOUR

Starting at the Royal Exchange, we'll take a look at the offices of some of the UK's best known insurance and finance companies. We'll explore the darker side of their history and showcase the research of what they decide to insure and where they invest. 

8PM - 9.30 PM PIZZA AND DRINKS!

If you would like to join us for a debrief, or just a chance to socialise, after the tour we'll head to a nearby Pizza Express. If you're hungry, grab a pizza and have a drink!

PLEASE NOTE! The time on the ticket says 3pm, but that is the start of the poster workshop, you can just join for the tour if you want to, which starts at 6pm! We will meet for the walking tour outside the Royal Exchange at 6pm and the tour is approximately 2 hours long, finishing in the City of London.
